The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), founded in 1868, is a UK based, independent, representative professional regulatory body that maintains the professional integrity of members through constant, compulsory development.

It is represented in over 146 countries and has over 160,000 members worldwide, who must update their knowledge and competence during their working life through RICS’
Continuous Professional Development regulations so the advice they give will be of the highest and most professional standard.

Members of RICS are Chartered Surveyors and are entitled to use the letters “MRICS” after their names.
RICS provides education and training standards, protects consumers with strict codes of practice and advises governments and businesses. RICS provides expertise in matters involving fixed assets, including but not limited to land and real property.
